Founded in 1963, Olympic International is a leader in the HVAC industry, offering the largest selection of HVAC equipment and systems in British Columbia and the Yukon. With over 60 years of technical expertise, they’ve delivered high-quality solutions for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects – and since 2012, they’ve led the way in zero-carbon energy systems. Headquartered in North Vancouver with an office in Kelowna, Olympic continues to push the boundaries of sustainable HVAC innovation.

An On-Premises System That Had Reached Its Limit

Olympic International had long relied on a custom-built, on-premises system to manage operations. While it handled project accounting and commission calculations, it lacked CRM capabilities, couldn’t be updated, and created silos across departments. Teams struggled with limited visibility, slow access to data, and inefficient workflows, especially when bidding on new projects or managing them end-to-end.

Remote work was also a challenge. The system’s outdated infrastructure made off-site access unreliable and increased cybersecurity risks. Olympic needed a modern, cloud-based solution that could unify their operations, support remote collaboration, and scale with their growth.

Olympic International has significantly improved how they manage and pursue new business. With the implementation of opportunity tracking and the custom-built Catapult Project Bidding module, they now have full visibility into every stage of the sales lifecycle. To support Olympic International’s complex bidding needs, Catapult implemented its proprietary Project Bidding module, designed to enhance the native capabilities of Business Central’s Project Module. This solution was purpose-built to streamline the challenges of managing frequent proposal revisions, fluctuating costs, and scattered client communications –  especially across large-scale and fast-moving projects.

With this enhancement, Olympic now benefits from a centralized, master estimate that automatically updates bid costing in real time. This single source of truth has dramatically improved accuracy and consistency across bids, empowering teams to respond to evolving project demands with greater speed, confidence, and control.

Commission Calculation with Full Transparency

The introduction of a custom-built commission calculation module has brought clarity and confidence to Olympic’s commission compensation process. By automating and centralizing commission tracking, Olympic has freed up leadership to focus on growth rather than reconciliation.
